When a poster says “after Maghrib” rather than a clock time, the app says the same. It won’t invent a precision the poster never had.

Where the listings come from

Not scraped, and not typed in by volunteers. Masjids already post their events to a WhatsApp group; Deen Spot reads those posters, and we moderate what gets listed.

  1. A masjid posts to its group

    The same poster it was sending anyway. Nobody fills in a form.

  2. The poster is read

    The date, time, speaker and venue are taken from it automatically, including “every Thursday after Maghrib”.

  3. We look after it

    Real people keep an eye on the listings, and step in when something needs correcting or taking down.

Is your masjid missing?

Anyone can help add it — you don’t need to run the masjid’s WhatsApp. Pick the way that fits you. It takes a couple of minutes, and then its events show up in Deen Spot.

Only public event announcements are published — nothing else in the group is, and the number can be removed at any time. Something wrong with a listing? Write to .

  1. I’m a group admin Save our number, then add it to the masjid’s group.
  2. I’m in the group, not an admin Send our number to the admin and ask them to add it.
  3. It’s a Channel or Community Send the invite link to our number and we’ll join.
